Pharmacist, ex community pharmacy contractor. 80’s rock fan, Blade. Oh and also golf!
Add to that a loss of 1400 community pharmacies due to a deliberate policy of funding cuts by the last government, which the new government has not corrected.

Hi Steve,
In a similar situation to yourself, just under a month ago I gave up being a community pharmacy contractor. I would like to think I can offer a slightly detached, less self interested view on all things pharmacy now I am out of the cauldron/ hamster wheel.

TBF in London it is more about time rather than distance travelled. It took me an hour and 45 mins to travel 7 miles by car the other day.

And PAs should have to declare their qualifications at the initial patient contact to avoid any doubt- as should all HCPs actually.

Agreed. It’s a bit like flood defences. One area is protected but it just shifts the problem downstream.

The same goes for community pharmacies. My worry is the rhetoric already coming from this government about GPs and pharmacies being “private businesses”

My son lives in a low traffic neighbourhood. I’ve got to say it’s lovely. Safe to walk around, quiet and low pollution. Exactly what was intended.
