Is it really unclear, though? They’ve been pretty open about detaining people for the crime of being brown or having an accent.

As an American citizen, this is about me, you dumbfuck, so shove it up your ass.

I get that, and I’ve voted for the lesser evil for decades. What I’ve seen is Dems fighting progressive sentiment within the party more passionately than they fight the right. They steadily cede power to the Executive and to corporations, leading to what we see today. This isn’t working.

“Your candidates” is a key phrase there. Not being a right-wing extremist doesn’t make someone a Democrat. I’m not a Democrat. Spanberger is not my candidate. I’m not one who has stayed home, but many have because we’re feeling pretty abandoned and unrepresented on the left.

She definitely isn’t speaking to me. Every time she brags about being a cop makes it harder to vote for her. They keep banking on us having no other choice, and people keep staying home on election day.

That article is from May. I’m pretty positive it was removed from the version that passed. Plenty of other bad, still.

Dems have been chasing the Reps to the right for decades. The US doesn’t have a left-wing party anymore.

Suppressors are safety devices and do not make guns more dangerous or accessible. This is one of the very few good things in this bill.

Does HB 1429 not apply to ACA and Medicaid coverage within the state?

I’m sure the recommendation represents an important improvement, but it still feels more like guesswork than evidence-based guidance. (I know they can only work with the information they have) I wish they would just cut the thing out.

She didn’t say maybe they were reasonable. She sidestepped them to make a more specific argument that would land and undermine the overall position. And it worked.

You didn’t just express an opinion. You jumped straight to calling her a liar. You could have asked for clarification if it didn’t match up with your understanding of how it should work, but no, you immediately said she was wrong about her own experience.

I’m invested in fostering a world where ignorant men don’t feel comfortable attacking women.

Getting some treatment isn’t the same as getting competent, comprehensive, timely treatment. The information from a private source can inform her own decisions regarding care without actually passing through the Dr. Why are you so invested in her situation?
March 24, 2025 at 2:50 PM
You’re assuming everyone has full access to medical care. Sometimes it’s more accessible to get needed treatment and testing privately. A doctor may not be responsive, insurance might be stonewalling, or there could just be too much delay. It’s safer to trust when someone says they needed something.

At this point, I need some sort of assurance that the new administration didn’t push it out the door early.
