Icl management (From Pelley to the AGMs) need to get sacked before they even think about the coach. I don’t want this regime doing anything else to this organization. Pelley reeks of a Sam Pollock-type hire from Rogers, whose Jays tenure they really should have learned from.

For sure, all it does is lend credibility to the link. Very easy for agents to throw out a million names but it does seem like there is/was genuine interest from City. Just puts more pressure on Chelsea’s hierarchy

Not to mention him being apparently seen as the first target Pep successor by City’s older hierarchy prior to leaving. There’s of course been a lot of turnover at City since then, but boy wouldn’t it be nice to go from Plan A to Plan A in that situation…

On paper I think Anderson is the better player but I reckon Wharton is more suited to the deep midfield/6 role that we are missing. The breadcrumbs seem to point to a longstanding interest in Wharton from the recruitment team asw if that’s any indication of preference

Will be interesting to see how this will be seen in countries where his ownership group is actively searching for clubs (Brazil especially)

Nah should be fine, he’s probably already been sorted for the Liverpool end

Basically missed the same chance twice, it’s a difficult finish to pull off but it seems like the ball came off the outside of his boot both times. Slippery conditions maybe a factor?

Ideal scenario would be another low scoring draw between the two, we really don’t need City to catch life here either.

Honestly no worries, who ever needs more stress in their life ❤️

Apparently they’ve got his home address on the other site…

His offensive instincts are good but he lacks defensive workrate, one of the weakest pressers I have seen this year

This sustainable operating model is really starting to be tested. The year in Europa and the stadium shenanigans has likely had an effect on our operating income, which has probably trickled down to a weaker budget this year. Also I wonder where the funds for the MCO model will be coming from?

Depends a lot on the correlation of these footballers (through performance or image rights) to future revenues. In an objective sense, if the cost vs benefits no longer makes sense then they may look elsewhere. You will have a hard time finding players who offer the same level of payoff as those 3.
