What the public expects to be portrayed is usually the one thing that's "traditionally attractive". Idealistic/sexualized body shapes. Just look at all the crybaby comments when protags in games/shows aren't your typical 36-24-36 measurements. They cry "woke" and whatever else bullshit.

Objectively speaking, yes, you're no Megan Fox when she was starring in Transformers 1. However, and I think several people probably agree, there's enough people not attracted to such body shapes and rather to ones like yours.

For now, that's about it, I know I usually don't talk much about myself or my life but I felt like I needed to get this off my chest.

I'm just taking things one step at a time and I try to always remember to have things to look forward to to keep me motivated. Like my upcoming 2 weeks off work or XPEvo 2025 at the end of September.

There's still days where I am battling my demons and struggle to find motivation or get irrationally angry about small things but I think I'm better equipped to deal with situations like those now.

Being surrounded by genuinely good people at my job and in my group of friends has helped me tremendously in the past few months. I recently discovered some texts I've written in 2021, and yea... let's just say I was mentally "in the mud". Thankfully most of that is gone.

I'm finally starting to like myself again, which might be a weird thing to read, but yea there's been lots of self loathing and general depressive stuff in my head for quite some time. Things are improving, even without the help of a therapist (finding a good one is hard).

Yea, as a German I'm honestly appalled at what is going on in that regard. I'm also surprised that some news outlets actually decided to focus more on the fact that the Muskrat got boosted in PoE2/Diablo 4 and are only subtitling a picture of his Hitler salute as "controversial salute".
