Tranmere supporting centrist dad living and working in Warrington but hoping for a return to the oblong of dreams
At the start of the year I set myself a target to go out running 100 times. Generally only 5k each run but I have gone out consistently, stayed injury free and avoided illness. Tonight was my 100th run and it feels good to reach my target in September. Just need to keep going now 😁

Enjoyable day walking in the Lake District with my youngest on Saturday. It was a long day walking but some great views and so nice to be out on the fells 😁

Had a nice walk up Causey Pike this morning. A few of the higher fells obscured by cloud, but some breathtaking views nonetheless. A comfortable walk and feeling much fitter after 12 months of running and healthier eating 😊

Lovely sunny day yesterday at Sewerby Parkrun with my eldest son Lewis. Set off downhill and a little fast so I was hanging on at the end especially on the uphill sections, but a really nice course with some great views and a coffee at the finish 😀

Over on the east coast at Sewerby. Beautiful coastline to walk along and blue sky and sunshine all day. Finished the day with a 5k run into Bridlington and back along the coastal path. A very peaceful and relaxed day😁

Beautiful sunny day for a busy Warrington Parkrun this morning. Loving setting little targets on the way round and chasing down other runners. It really helps me push myself and is making me fitter. Great way to start the weekend and just need Tranmere Rovers to do their thing this afternoon now 😁

Tranmere won both games after my first two Park runs. So today I got up early to do my third. Over to you fellas, another 3 points would be great 😊 #swa

Did my first ever Parkrun this morning. Really well organised and an absolute joy running with about 400 other people. I set off near the back, and was surprised how much enjoyment I got from overtaking other runners to finish in just under 30 mins in the middle of the pack #parkrun

Today’s early kickoff gave me a chance to spend some time in the sun at West Kirby. A welcome bit of tranquility on the oblong of dreams 😁

Trying to continue the New Year health kick despite the cold weather. A slow and careful run out today in the ice and snow. A big contrast to running in Rhodes at the back end of October when it was 26 degrees.

A top night out in New Brighton watching Alternative Radio. Rob Fennah taught me to play guitar when I was 14 to 16. Still a very talented musician alongside his brother Alan. Top show fellas 😀👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

And now you’ve motivated me to get out for a run this afternoon. That feel good factor from a Rovers win and a bit of positivity is infectious!

Enjoyed my 5k run this morning around the local business park through the autumn leaves, but it’s a big contrast from the Rhodes sunset after my runs on holiday in October.

Emotional day dropping my youngest son off at the University of Sheffield. Great to see him moving on in his life, but I’ll miss him ❤️

Proud of my youngest son for securing his place at the University of Sheffield. We’ll miss him when he goes, but I think Kenzo will miss him more!
