But the best we can do in the meantime is continue rebuilding EU relations and trust back up - which this UK labour government seem to be doing, regardless of some of their rhetoric against re-joining the EU.

Even if there is a will in this UK government to rejoin the EU instantly - it will unfortunately probably take atleast a decade.

Trust has been ultimately degraded between the UK and the EU - especially with the prospect of another Eurosceptic tory government being re-elected in 5 years...
