I still think that their marketing and trailers have generally been pretty bad though. The overexplaining narration just listing basic mechanics is atrocious, while they almost don't show anything of the real cool shit at all. And the first bike gameplay look was very unflattering

I'd like to hope that the parts where the game gets completely quiet and isolated again hit extra hard contrasting with the companion bits. I think they have some room to play around with the idea. I'll remain open-minded

@grubb.wtf put it pretty well when he said that this guy is there to contrast with Samus. She immediately comes across as the stoic badass she is next to this guy, unlike in Other M! It IS Hollywood writing Metroid and I wouldn't have wished for it, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt
