Y’know… now that you mention it, more apps need to at least do SOMETHING when you enter the Konami Code. The world needs more whimsy! 😉

And by "we're using languages", I mean "we're using _different_ languages", lol.

Special shout out to @hipstersmoothie.com for offering some suggestions that ended up unblocking the path for me. Even though we're using languages for our respective projects, it's the same API under the hood. Much appreciation to devs helping each other out! ❤️

Figured out what I was doing wrong: I was using an APP password, not an ACCOUNT password. It's only needed for the requestPlcOperationSignature call (and maybe the subsequent signPlcOperation call). In retrospect, I can see how errors like "bad token scope" might hint at that, but it wasn't obvious.

🤔 but it’s in the list of labels… is it missing from the command, perhaps?

This is literally how I play Minecraft too. The pattern holds across mediums!

While most of the progress today was behind-the-scenes stuff, some of it is visible. I added #HololiveID to @oshi.support. EN, DEV_IS, and Holostars will follow.

After that, I'd like to add some #IndieVTuber labels. That's gonna raise some questions about how to organize this stuff. Ideas welcome!

This is the error I'm hitting, if anyone with #atproto experience has ideas, I'm all ears...
November 22, 2024 at 5:22 AM
Spent the day setting up infrastructure for this. After years of wrangling Kubernetes in production systems, it feels weird to have just... one server running a handful of containers for a silly little project.

That said, it still feels like I'm missing something. Does Ozone require a PDS as well?
November 22, 2024 at 5:12 AM
@atproto.com am I understanding correctly that a labeler MUST operate as a network-accessible service? Just want to be sure before considering standing up any infrastructure to support this project. I was hoping to build something that could run locally (for now at least)... 😅
November 21, 2024 at 2:29 AM
Expanded the label definitions to include labels for #hololive (JP so far, will add ID/EN tomorrow) to get an idea of how a larger label set would work. I appreciate that localization is built into the #atproto spec. Read through docs and the ozone code to figure out the label signing. Some hiccups.

It wasn't clear from the use of "domain services" and "registrar" that you weren't referring to DNS.

I don't know how QC is actually set up, but I deal with these kinds of systems in my $dayjob, so I thought maybe I could contribute something.

I don't want to contribute to conflict though, so... 🙇
November 20, 2024 at 5:10 PM
HTTP redirects are *not* a function of DNS, though many registrars do provide both services. It’s a fairly common setup to point multiple DNS host names at the same IP(s) and match on those in some web server config on the system(s) to route to the appropriate content. That’s why I mentioned vhosts.
November 20, 2024 at 3:31 PM
It might be more useful than it seems. Something is serving up that redirect, right? If it’s the same webserver (via vhost or something), that might narrow it down.
November 20, 2024 at 2:55 PM
Yep. Have at. No promises that my answers won’t be deeply dissatisfying though. 😉
November 20, 2024 at 7:52 AM
Welcome aboard! I won’t pretend to understand what you do, but it sounds cool. Brains are neat! 😅
November 20, 2024 at 7:39 AM
@skywatch.blue has a label you can use to filter that stuff out. It’s not a block list, but might be close enough to what you’re looking for?
November 20, 2024 at 6:49 AM
More progress today, after a few missteps, figured out how to do the record creation / label definition portion of things, set up a separate account for that at @oshi.support. Looks like I need to dig into how labels are published next, which seems to involve some signing stuff? Fun times ahead. 🤔

What version of Stream Deck? Apparently there's an automatic backup feature in v5.3+, if that helps?
November 19, 2024 at 9:09 PM
Do they redirect you to questionablecontent.net first, though?

See, this kind of post is why we need a more nuanced "Like" system. A "grudgingly accept" button would be perfect here.
