Their honesty not breaking any laws. They have to follow orders. The shit they have the military doing is literally just for photo ops. The test will be if they get an unlawful order. I have faith they will hold to the constitution.

Nah. I understand the fear but the leadership, by and large, is not supportive. You won’t hear much because that’s just how it works. They will follow orders until they can’t. Most of them have a red line and they will refuse to cross it.

Yeah kinda of the point. In order to believe in communism you have to hold a very fundamentally different belief system than me. The only way to seize the means of production as required is through violence to capital owners. I believe in capitalism and democracy. So we can just leave it there.

I never said it was fair. Personally I would allow all kids to play sports in school as I have stated multiple times.
It’s just not an issue I’m willing to abandon a candidate over. To me it’s not a human rights issue but I understand how you could see it that way.

Not sure if it’s an internet thing or what but the trans people I know in real life don’t act like you lunatics. They are just normal people that care about normal things and can have good conversations about these topics.

That argument resonates with me but how are we supposed to win elections then? From polling..the trans in sports issue is a 70/30 or 65/35 issue against trans kids in sports. You can’t win elections against that.

I get that view and agree to the point. But if you look at it over the last 40 years I think dems have kept move further left on social issues. I could be wrong about trans right in particular but I think the party is significantly better on this topic than they were 20 years ago.

If I could push a button and no kids, mine included were allowed to do sports in school but the democrats would win super majorities in congress and the presidency I would push it in a heartbeat. You know how much good we could get done?
