Aren't the SMRs at Wylfa tied in to powering proposed data centres in the North Wales AI growth zone? That doesn't sound like a very green investment!

If you really believe that these people are terrorists then you need to give your head a massive wobble!
January 10, 2026 at 1:51 PM
This isn't how most people see terrorism though, is it? Terrorism involves actual physical harm against civilians. Our government is changing what terrorism actually entails, in an attempt to bully the population. Damage to property isn't a terrorist offence. That's what they did.

We can't afford to fix the NHS, dentistry, the justice system, schools etc, but let's build some artificial tax haven islands. What a prick. I propose a nobhead tax where proponents of ideas like these get taxed and extra 50% + community service for a decade.

I'm just wondering what you think a big thing looks like? Does it involve Godzilla, King Kong or the Death Star?

Trump bombing Venezuela is the same as Putin bombing Ukraine, no matter what we think of the Maduro regime.

Only once! Tyres with good sidewall protection and not getting carried away on the downhills seems to work!

Riding around the Dinorwic slate quarries, North Wales, in the late December sunshine. A great end to the year after the 2 months of rain we've just endured.

As opposed to the USA, where nobody kills anybody ever.
December 3, 2025 at 10:17 PM
Oh, I didn't think about that! He does say 'same size' though.
December 2, 2025 at 11:29 AM
Those maps are nowhere near comparable in size. The contiguous USA is 8 million km2. Ukraine is 0.6 million km2.

You need to up your observation skills then. Fascists have been waving flags forever. The poppy thing has been going on for decades too.

1. If what he was talking about was popular we'd be living in a better country
2. What numbers are you talking about here? Number 2, 3,7, 145? Are there any significant numbers you'd like to focus on?
3. Surely he's the left wing balance to the current government?

Absolute nutters.

You can probably fit all their voters into one of the larger ones.
October 8, 2025 at 10:44 AM
As Burnham said yesterday, they need to invest in public services and housing to help people. Then productivity will naturally increase. Happy, healthy people will just get more done. Waiting for growth to appear without investing in the population's wellbeing is nonsense.
September 30, 2025 at 6:58 AM
And it will probably involve Palantir or another tech company run by a dystopian future worshipping nut job.
September 29, 2025 at 4:18 PM
That's a very irresponsible headline from the Guardian. They need to do better!
September 23, 2025 at 6:26 AM
If their efficiency worsens as a private utility they just crank up the prices and give us a shittier service.
September 18, 2025 at 7:45 AM
I don't agree with everything he says. He does sometimes say silly stuff imho. But having a voice on the left, challenging the failing system we've currently got, is really good. I would far rather have a green party in govt than the current lot who I'm hugely disappointed in.
September 5, 2025 at 8:57 AM
Should a single mother, who is struggling to pay bills and has to choose between buying enough food and heating her house, be prosecuted for stealing baby formula, sanitary products, a tin of baked beans etc? That's the type of situation I think he's talking about.
September 5, 2025 at 8:53 AM
There is obviously a link between poverty and crime. If the current govt were serious they would do more about it. Instead they've morphed into the same incompetent horrible shit show that we've had for the last 14 years. It's about time we had a loud voice on the left challenging them.
