Let's get behind Catherine Connolly for President! It is very easy to donate to her campaign and even the price of a cup of coffee would be helpful so just give whatever you can.

There are lots of other ways to support Catherine's campaign too. See here:

Nail on the head here from @carlkinsella.bsky.social

SF have scored own goals by going in the same direction as the government but further on social issues - migration and trans rights, in particular - which is turning off people impressed by their housing policy.

Just out! Our peer-reviewed critique of the Cass Review has been published by BMC Medical Research Methodology. Please read and share. We show that the Cass Review is fatally flawed and should not be the basis for policy or practice in transgender healthcare.

Read this piece to learn more about how broken Ireland’s provision of trans healthcare is.

Contact your TDs to say this is not good enough.

An Coimisiún Toghcháin, Ireland’s independent electoral commission is preparing a strategy to encourage people to get more involved with the democratic process.

You can submit your ideas to them through a brief survey here:https://www.electoralcommission.ie/consultation/

Here are my suggestions:

They must have realised they'd get stick for it. They've tacked it on to Norma Foley's role in the latest update. Though that's perhaps even more grim...

Great piece by @amflynn.bsky.social on an important act of solidarity from the GAA president, Jarlath Burns. In the current political climate, where young men are being berated with messages promoting toxic masculinity, and when femicide in Ireland has been so frequent, it is a vital intervention.
