We do have to remember that short-form apps with character limits were largely designed for use with smartphones. And on smartphones (unlike laptops or desktops) people aren't exactly inclined to write lengthy posts. I know I certainly couldn't write my MDRF recaps on a smartphone.

Well, here I am on Bluesky. I'm more comfortable with long form social media and aren't really comfortable with the forced brevity of character limits, but I know I shouldn't keep all my social media eggs in one basket, so I'm here. Still wish more social media sites were long form, though.
