2 #webdev APIs I need to use more often:

🍃 Animation API - The logic is much cleaner without jankiness of adding/removing CSS classes/styles.
📦 Web Components - There are many reasons, but one nice thing is `this.animate()` or `this.remove()` is so concise and intuitive.
This code is part of a Web Component, likely built using the Lit framework, as indicated by the syntax for the onEscape event. The code defines an asynchronous function triggered by the onEscape event. Inside the function, it uses the Web Animations API to create a fade-out animation for the current element. The animation transitions the element's opacity from one to zero. The animation has a duration of three hundred milliseconds, uses an easing function called "ease-out," and applies the animation's final state after it finishes, as specified by the fill mode set to "forwards." The function uses the finished property of the animation, which is a promise that resolves when the animation completes. The await keyword pauses the function until the animation finishes. Finally, the element is removed from the DOM using the remove method, which is part of the DOM API.

I was struggling to get matching tag highlighting working with Lit in VS Code, and I installed a plugin to add indent rainbows instead.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised out tasteful the colors are out-of-the-box. I guess this mean I support the gay agenda! 💪🌈
Screenshot of code in VS Code. The editor uses the "Gruvbox" light theme, which is like a retro yellowy vibe. These theme is combined with the indent-rainbow extension which highlights each tab of your code, in columns of colors. So, it's much easier to see the indent levels of your code and you get a nice rainbow.

I had another situation where I couldn't use my email address because the website did not support email addresses on custom domains.

But to Frontier's full credit, customer support added my email from their end, and then ended the conversation with "May God bless you the most." 😁

One of my dev jobs is to project videos on the virtual TV screens in this exhibit. Our 3D modeller just finished building this 3D model, and it looks like he has a sense of humor. :blobcatgiggle:

A Thunderbird warning dialog titled "Link Mismatch Detected" alerts the user that the clicked link text (discord.gg) differs from the actual destination (emails.kickstarter.com), with options to proceed, cancel, or go to the expected link.
