I’ve been on Bluesky for a couple months now and really loving it so it’s about time I properly introduce myself. This video does it better than any written words could say why I am a photographer. Not sure how video will do on here so if you enjoy this then please share!

The most perfectly framed shot from Greenland that I’ve ever seen. Just incredible
A beautiful arche shaped iceberg that we found in Disko Bay early August during one of our late night sailing.

To give you an idea the mast of the boat is around 30 meters high 😵‍💫⛵️🧊… This piece of ice was massive.

Some new aerial work from Shark Bay in Western Australia. A place that absolutely blew me away.

Sorry for my absence over here. It’s been a very busy last few months of leading workshops and personal trips. This adventure to Australia being one of those. Hope you like this one shot from a plane.

Two versions of the same image just taken last week while in Camargue, France. These two stallions had been separated for a few days and were play fighting to say hello. I do love the color version but this subject matter just screams for black and white. Which do you all prefer?

My team at Destination Earth Photo Tours has just put together an awesome opportunity at Brooks Falls Alaska to photograph brown bears during the summer salmon run at the end of July. It’s a very small group workshop and the trip of a lifetime to be able to spend that many nights there. DM for info.

A moment I don’t think I’ll soon forget. These three Bengal Tiger siblings walking side by side right towards my jeep in Ranthambhore

Four images from this year’s trip to India. I’m currently flying back home with two 10 hour flights down and one more short one to go. My workshop this year was a tremendous success with so many incredible sightings. Dates for next year are now open. Message me for details if you’re interested!

I’ve gone from photographing African wildlife last month to Indian wildlife this month. Specifically tigers with my workshop clients in Ranthambhore. To say that these Bengal tigers are majestic creatures is an understatement. Here’s an image from yesterday morning!

Four images from Kenya. This year’s trip yielded a very good crop of photos. Really wish I could share more than four at a time over here. We had an awesome group for my workshop and I’ve been excited in seeing their photos as well. Dates are all set for next year March 2026. Reach out for details!

I’ve been a little quiet over here as I spent the last three weeks in Kenya leading a group of photographers over there on my annual wildlife safari workshop. Here’s a few photos from that trip with lots more to come. I find it quite difficult to keep up with social media while I’m traveling. Enjoy!

Morning light filters through the Spanish moss in the canopy of the big cypress bayou. These southern swamps have become a very special place to me as I’ve returned here every autumn for the last 6 years. I think I’ll start sharing more from the floating forests and the haunting beauty that is holds

I’m thinking that we’ve seen the last of major snow here in the Pacific Northwest where I live. So today I’m sharing an image from a few years ago of one of my favorite waterfalls blanketed in a foot of fresh powder. Hiking in and out of here was a treat that day being the first ones on this trail.

I think it’s time that I share more wildlife images over here. Here’s 4 from Kenya. I’m very excited to be heading back there in a week with an eager group of workshop clients. What do you all think, should I share more of this type of work?

Unfortunately I don’t have any heart shaped rocks to share on this day of love. But I do have this lady in red. I hope that all of you have someone special to share your lives with, not just today but everyday. Whether that’s a significant other, a sandstone woman, a dog, or an AI girlfriend. ❤️❤️❤️

Wishing I was in Hawaii today. Photographing this scene 7 years ago almost made me miss my flight home. As I stood here with the water rushing around my feet and a tremendous feeling of gratitude I just didn’t want to leave. I’ve titled this one “Mahalo” and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for looking.

I changed my cover photo over here the other day and this is what that looks like. The Iceland highlands photographed from above. I’m going to sound like a broken record over here but seeing this landscape from a small plane just leaves me breathless every time.

Rachael’s work is mesmerizing
I thought I’d do an introduction post as it seems the way on here. I’m a professional photographer specializing in the ocean and the coast it carves. I’m lucky to be represented by some good galleries. I also teach workshops. I’ve been full-time for 9 years now - went fast!
