Unfortunately, it was too late for my sister…but hopefully one day governments will shift their views so that anybody suffering with tick-borne illnesses can receive the treatments they so desperately need. (4/6)

Unfortunately, here in Quebec (like many other places), the only way to receive proper care is via the private system, which is costly. The Lyme Treatment Foundation is doing a lot of good for people across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom by helping them access treatment. (3/6)

My sister was the coolest, badass, kindest, and compassionate person who I had the honour of calling my best friend. She was an artist, a music journalist, and aspiring novelist. Red tape by the government of Québec prevented her from treatment she needed for multiple tick-borne illnesses. (2/6)
