Finally there's this... Weird Mushroom? When you grab it the colors bug out and the screen shakes, but hey you get a bunch of points so it's probably fine!

Also as you may have noticed in the previous GIF, object grazing is a thing now. Ski close to trees and snowmen as they pass by to earn bonus points!

You get a large points bonus if you collect the steak, but the speed increase can lead to sudden deaths and the next power-up may or may not be the Juicy Pop you need to slow down and be safe. I can imagine some arguments breaking out in co-op deciding if you should go for it or not.

I've been working on an expanded version of my #pico8 game #SkiSquatch beyond the jam and finally have a few cool new things to show off. Here's a 🧵:

I've been working on an expanded version of my #pico8 game #SkiSquatch beyond the jam and finally have a few cool new things to show off. Here's a 🧵:
First up, power-ups! So far there's 2, Juicy Pop and the Legendary Steak. They slow you down and speed you up, and give you some nice bonus points.

More progress on #GatoOfTheSkies, my new #picotron game.
I added a pretty background, some hills, and enemies that can die (but can't fight back yet). I can tell I'm gonna be really proud of this when I give it some more polish and actually make it a proper game

I get people are super passionate about #Sonic and that's fair but I don't think Origins deserves as much hate as it's gotten. It's great for newcomers to the series like me who just want to play the classics in a comfortable way, and Anniversary mode makes each game easier to digest #SonicOrigins
