30 August 1888 | German Jewish woman, Bertha Heidenheim-Berg, was born in Cologne. She emigrated to the Netherlands.

In February 1944 she was deported from Westerbork to the Theresienstadt ghetto. On 18 May 1944 she was deported to #Auschwitz. She did not survive.

Protestierende fordern bei einem Lesemarathon vor dem Parlament die Umsetzung der UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention. Konkret: mehr Barrierefreiheit im Alltag, die Auflösung von Sonderschulen und einen besseren Zugang zum Arbeitsmarkt für behinderte Menschen.

Ungefähr 25 Protestierende posieren vor dem Parlament auf dem Kopfsteinpflaster für ein Foto. Einige der Personen, manche mit und andere ohne Rollstuhl, halten Schilder hoch. Darauf stehen Slogans wie "Man ist nicht behindert, man wird behindert", "Ja zur Inklusion" oder "Genug geredet". Im Hintergrund sieht man abgesehen von dem Parlamentsgebäude auch eine nachgestellte Baustelle, die von den Organisationen zur Verdeutlichung der Anliegen aufgestellt wurde. Einige Personen tragen Bauhelme, um das Bild der künstlichen Baustelle zu vervollständigen. Das Foto zeigt den Blick von den Stufen des Parlaments auf die Straße, den Ring im ersten Bezirk in Wien. Im Blickfeld liegt die Kundgebung für Behindertenrechte. Die Protestierenden hören einer Person zu, die gerade auf der Bühne steht und eine Rede hält. Die Kundgebung wurde als Baustelle inszeniert. Es stehen Absperrungen und ein kleiner Zementmischer auf dem Platz vor dem Parlament. Außerdem haben die Organisator*innen riesige rote Blöcke in Form von Ziegelsteinen aufeinander gestapelt. Darauf zu lesen ist der Schriftzug: "UN Konvention. Jeder Artikel zählt!". Es handelt sich um eine Nahaufnahme des Parlaments. Links im Bild ist der Brunnen mit seiner Statue vor dem Parlament zu sehen. Die Statue bildet die Pallas Athene, die Göttin der Weisheit, ab. Sie hält ein Zepter in in die Luft und ihr sitzen in Stein gemeißelte Personen zu Füßen, wie in Gedanken versunken. Vor der Statue und vor den Stufen zum Parlament haben die Demonstrierenden große rote Blöcke aufeinander gestapelt, die eine unvollständige Mauer bilden. Rechts neben den Blöcken steht eine Person. Sie lächelt in die Kamera und trägt eine weiße Jacke sowie einen roten Bauhelm. Der Stapel aus Klötzen ist ein paar Köpfe höher als sie. Auf den übergroßen Klötzen steht: "UN-Konvention. Jeder Artikel zählt."

Und dann frag ich mich, ob manche Journalist:innen einfach nur noch auf Social Media sind und das für die Wirklichkeit halten und ob es nicht besser wäre, sie würden mal wieder rausgehen und ein paar Reportagen machen von Durchschnittsfamilien, bei denen es trotz Jobs einfach nicht mehr reicht.
