I underglaze on greenware. I find it easier to scratch off mistakes and since it’s fired on for the glaze step, I can’t accidentally put my thumb into the wet paint.
So it’s two firings. Green gets painted, I fire to bisque, dip in clear, fire to maturity.

There was a short stint when I was making resin figures. Every time someone would ask how I made them, they would glaze over as i explained the process of sculpting, making molds, curing, etc.
Come to find out they were usually people just wanting to know how I printed them. (I wasn’t)

It’s a very different material. I love ceramics because it’s so earthy feeling. I think you will love it too. Can’t wait to see what you make !
