I've gotten several characters to at least mid-high platinum just doing this and it helps me a ton to break it down like that first instead of overloading my brain with too many setups and whatnot before I'm even fully comfortable with the character

Whenever I try to learn a new character I start by figuring out some good neutral pokes, which special moves I can do without being killed for it, and then one or two combos that I can cancel into super, and then as I play and get more comfortable using those I find new things to add.

I bought the 1 awhile back and enjoyed it but thought some parts felt kinda bad (triggers and bumpers) but I've been exclusively using the Ultimate 2 for a couple weeks now and they've fixed basically every issue I had with it.

I made it through despite the rust but these bosses since Dawntrail have been fairly tricky. I welcome the increased challenge though lol

I had to farm this dude like 6 times for the armor and by the end of it I had 16 tails that I didn't know what to with lol

You can also get like a billion items from the DLC packs you can download for free along with the event quests if you don't want to ever have to grind for potions or money
