Dismayed and offended that Substack put a racist anti-Indian post in my feed this morning. What I like about Substack is that it generally has high quality discourse and is not the cess pool of that X is. It’s disappointing that Substack is going down of recommending racist content.

Pfeiffer Beach Winter Solstice
The Keyhole Beach Arch at Pfeiffer Beach Solstice lights up at sunset on the days around the Winter Solstice. This is an amazing natural phenomenon. This particular day was quite cloudy, which muted the effect, but it was still something special to experience.

Instead of pumpkin pie, this year I made a lemon cake. As an extra challenge, it needed to be eggless. Turned out pretty good.
