It's called being held accountable for abuse of power, if you can't separate your fragile ego from moderation maybe you should step down

Quality of life? In this economy??

It was designed as a more space efficient format. Smaller files sizes without sacrificing quality.

Don't blame the format, blame the companies that fail to support it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks for creating this for me and being so receptive to all my ideas! It's been fun seeing the process and every step, and the outcome is fantastic ❤️

You disputed a fact without bothering to Google what an apex predator is or why a cat is considered one. Could have saved yourself a lot of time by not being a contrarian, not my problem
November 28, 2024 at 2:48 PM
>fails to argue their point
>switches the argument to a point no-one is arguing
>resorts to petty insults
>fails to see the irony of calling someone else a joke

Maybe don't try and engage in a discussion you don't have the maturity for or the willingness to educate yourself
November 28, 2024 at 2:38 PM
🤷🏼‍♀️ Joke's on me for assuming that someone citing "The impact of free-ranging domestic cats on wildlife" would have more than half a brain cell, I guess
November 28, 2024 at 1:11 PM
Who are you arguing with? Literally no-one in this thread has argued in favour of letting domestic cats roam
November 28, 2024 at 3:28 AM
So all I argue is why cats are considered apex predators, and you resort to petty insults after failing to argue that they aren't? I've never once stated an opinion on cat ownership, or if cats should be allowed to roam outside or not
November 28, 2024 at 3:08 AM
Well first of all, most of those aren't predators to begin with. Second of all, the inside of a house is a controlled and contained environment, whereas urban areas are still very much available for wild animals to access. If that hamster is allowed to roam around a city, it's likely getting eaten
November 28, 2024 at 2:28 AM
Dogs would certainly count. But they're nowhere near as successful as solitary predators and aren't generally allowed to roam about freely unlike cats.
November 28, 2024 at 2:06 AM
I referenced coyotes previously in the thread lol
November 28, 2024 at 1:17 AM
That's a big over-generalisation. A lot of countries lack birds of prey capable of catching cats, and even fewer cities host a sizable number of large birds of prey.

The limiting factor of cat populations is always going to be cat owners rather than predation

As a Brit, I can't read TOTP as anything other than "Top Of The Pops" (an old 'live' performance music TV program) 😂
November 27, 2024 at 8:57 PM
The definition of an apex predator is a predator without a natural predator of their own. A cat in an urban environment is by definition an apex predator. That was my point, and it directly addresses your initial response
November 27, 2024 at 8:29 PM
Don't blame cats for existing, blame people who introduce them into an environment or ecosystem they don't belong in 🤷🏼‍♀️ personally I don't dislike cats or cat owners, but it is hard to ignore the decline in native populations of small animals that cats prey on.
November 27, 2024 at 7:31 PM
Depends where the cat lives. Most urban environments don't have animals that'll prey on cats. Maybe the odd fox or coyote, but that'd be rare since cats can be a lot faster and more agile. Most cat owners get a cat with the knowledge that it isn't going to get eaten

Goblin' down that cereal aye? :P

When I used to do full stack at my last job, we used Flask instead of Django. Never got into React or Node.js but I've heard that they can be quite powerful

I've watched live football matches on Prime video and they've been fine. I hate to defend Amazon but imo Netflix are just cheapskates

It's digital shrinkflation. As Netflix's viewer base grew, instead of expanding their servers, they gradually reduced the quality of the service. But now they don't have the extra server capacity to accommodate view surges
