Independent scholar, doing research and writing, and preserving and digitizing primary source materials, on the life and work of David Crockett Graham, missionary and scientist in Southwest China from 1911 through 1948.
The reading in the David Crockett Graham Historical Fund’s Digital Repository can be extremely interesting. For example, in a letter from 1917, Graham writes about combat between the Szechuanese and Yunnanese armies around Suifu and the missionaries aid to the wounded as well as burying the dead.

The XGOY (Voice of China) radio broadcast is documented in William Dunn’s 1988 book “Pacific Microphone,” and also in Bill Lascher’s 2016 book “Eve of a Hundred Midnights.” The transcript of the broadcast was written by Annalee Whitmore who is one of the main characters in Lascher’s book.
