I heard that you can only call it a Christmas tree if it comes from the Christmas region of northern Germany, otherwise it’s just sparkling evergreen!

That’s not exactly a hard accolade to win!

From my experience yes, combined with good use of non ED assessment areas as well.

Best I’ve seen is at Leeds. As I understand it they have a consultant who is not on the wards/theatres who takes calls and advises GP with a dedicated ‘call centre’ that does the documentation via 3 way calls. Means avoids lots of admissions and gets expert advice there and then.

There’s a problem with the question. Should Gaza be a thriving place with wealth and commerce? Yes. Should you ethnically cleanse the area to do that? No! The question should be ‘do you agree with the forced displacement of entire population so trump can have his riviera?’ Then watch him squirm

No, what A&Es need is flow. You can give me another 10 beds but there’ll still be 40 patients in my department waiting for an inpatient bed. EDs cannot wait for reform of social care, and reversal of the cuts to the inpatient bed base!

Didn’t evidence show that only about 5% or less of ED attendances could be sent elsewhere? The ED issue is at the back end of the hospital, not primary care.

Why does no one talk about the public sector as an engine for growth when it educates your kids, treats your diseases and keeps your workforce healthy? For every £1 in the NHS you get 4 back!

Do Paeds do ESLE type assessments? ,Having prolonged observation of managing a department or acute take, or observed clinic is much more useful than the 6000th bronch from that winter I’d have thought!

Offer him a surgeon who doesn’t wash his hands or wear gloves and see what he says!! Might change his tune!
