I don't think anyone eith sense is in disagreement that the GOP are abhorent filth, and as symbolic as it may be I'd like to see the same poignant venom drip from politicians alongside invoking the procedures designed for exactly these situations, or answering to why they're opting not to.

The fear of God also needs to be drilled into Dems that corporate milquetoast civility politics helped fertilise the ground for fascism and they should dare not squander a free win off the GOP's ineptitude and mask-off self-implosion. It would be folly to slap a bandaid on it and call it good.

Ok, you didn't answer what we can expect from the GOP, but you did for why not to. I like what you expect of people, but it reinforces the need to demand high standards of highly consequential representative leadership roles, and challenging entitlement to guaranteed occupation of them whenceforth.

Interestingly, we seem to both be at odds with our original positions on expecting things of the GOP.
