I think that irritation led to me missing the finer creative details of what it was actually portrayed in the scene.

I think time and receiving that meat headed fan service elsewhere, has definitely helped me revisit the scene with a new appreciation. 2/2

Nah, Not mad. After the dialogue exchange with a couple other people on the post, I realized I (at the time) just yearned for the Fan service of seeing a Jedi Master Luke have a sick battle on the modern big screen and was irritated not receiving that. 1/2

Huh. I'll admit I'd never considered the pacifism aspect with Luke and the significance of him both fighting for people to escape without truly 'fighting' at all.

The revelation just felt like it cheapened what I thought I was perceiving to be the typical 'Heroic Sacrifice'.

Other than that, I enjoyed the film. It needed polish here and there, but I don't think it was nearly as bad as the hate it received at the time.

My biggest complaint about it, Was during Luke and Kylo's showdown, the fact that Luke was like a Force Projection / Hologram who then become one with the force.

For a good moment before the reveal, I thought we were finally just getting to see the Legendary Luke Skywalker in action.
