Conviction for criminal damage is welcome. However, damaging a phone is tiny in comparison to a lack of conviction for harassment & the damage to the victim's mental health, & security, during the ordeal & long term.

Phones can be replaced quickly, fixing mental health is far from being that easy.

It's always been said, that broken Irish is better than perfect English. That was repeated to me recently when trying to patch together a cobbled dual language conversation, with a Gaeilgeoir, who only encouraged my efforts.

Had to have a little smile when one of the key words the judge used to describe him was intransigent. Just wondering if it was a deliberate little windup.

He's hiding under the mammy's bed!

Very damning of the betrayal of their heritage, that two Home Secretaries of Asian descent - previously, Priti Patel, & now Shabana Mahmood, have ramped up the far right rhetoric on deportations, like no other.

What if their parents suffered the fate, that they have, and wish to, inflict on others?

Grab the popcorn! That's all part of the fun. Just the surreal prospect of the President of the U.S. being asked if he blew one of his predecessors, or if it being a case of mistaken identity, a horse!

An attack response would only heighten the hero status of whoever would ask that.

Yeah, that's the one.

I was wondering who the Saulsbury guy was. He didn't appear in the search I saw.

What would be better than him being asked to deny if he blew Clinton?

Welllll... funny you should say that...

And even funnier, if it were in fact not Clinton it refers to

Google the name with Ghislaine Maxwell 👀 😱

Oh crap! I don't envy you in that situation. Hard to know what to do if the aim is for a refurb.

Indeed, it would be a show of genuine goodwill, if it's a true outlier that they want to put right, and keep a customer happy.

In the meantime, are you working with an ageing, ailing laptop, and praying it doesn't give up?
November 13, 2025 at 11:31 AM
Ahh, right, very fractured. I can't see how you, or anyone mucked around like you have been, wanting to potentially willingly repeat that experience by taking up their stingy 5% discount.

It's a case of 'fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me'

Hahaha! Uncanny. Dan Aykroyd in a collar.

Refunds in instalments seems a very inconvenient, piecemeal way of doing business, considering you presumably paid the €620 all at once. Doesn't inspire confidence. Do they mean 5% compensation? Taking how you've been shunted about, at their fault, I'd expect at least 10%. Take it, lesson learned.

Any resolution on this, Izzy? if not, have you sought redress from your debit/credit card bankers with whom you should have full rights of refund?

I've looked at buying from these before, but then bought on Adverts.
