It feels like 2 syllables is the sweet spot for this kind of insult. 1 or 4+ syllables are for when you're genuinely mad. 3 syllables is clunky but maybe works if they roll of the tongue. For substance, plant pot and teacup are both empty. Donut is too in a way (empty calories, no nutritional value)
