I’ve never said I think Christians are good people. I was indirectly trying to get your attention solely about me because you had lumped me into first one extreme, then another. First I was dumb, then I was scum. But I know I’m not either.

My point wasn’t about identity or whether or not religion is harmful. In a roundabout way I was trying to express that you are lumping me into only one of two categories when you don’t even know me yet, and when there are more than just two categories of us that exist ❤️‍🩹🌱

I don’t blame you & I’m not offended. You take care of you 🌱

The point wasn’t about identity. The point is about not oversimplifying (and therefore losing/missing/wasting) complexity that simply *does* exist.

You write as though you only espouse binary thinking when it comes to Christians. In my humble opinion, FWIW, I don’t think it will always serve you well with everyone you meet 🌱

Just as it’s important to give respect to people’s sexuality & gender identities existing on a spectrum vs. binary thinking, I’ve found it’s very valuable to relate to people’s spirituality & religious identities that way too. Otherwise there’s a great deal of loss & unnecessary harm 🌱
