Episode 22 of Ultraman Arc opens with a call-back to Ultraseven's "Nightmare on Planet No. 4" before launching right into a very Jissoji-inspired piece that's flavoured on René Magritte's most famous artworks.
And, be still my heart, it feels VERY Neo Ultra Q as well.

Finally able to post about 1981's Yokohama BJ Blues.
A film using (very good) noir as a mask for its incrediblely nuanced and heartbreaking portrayal of queer men in the 80s.

Not enough good talk about its depth as a piece of queer cinema online, will be screaming about it forever now.
