it's also a SoC (system on a chip), and is about the size of a modern smartphone, if a bit thicker. they're also decently inexpensive on ebay, you can get a working one for under $20 USD, and there's an online emulator as well: www.pcjs.org/machines/ti/...

the TI-57 is a very underrated piece of tech. it's a programmable calculator from 1977, but also a great intro to basic assembly stuff (registers, subroutines, jumps and branching, opcodes, etc). it also doesn't use RPN for math, meaning even i could figure out how use it when i was 12
