Saw a screening of a few of David Lynch’s short films. I miss seeing art made viscerally, cheaply, and for a small messy audience. It actually makes the world feel bigger and more interesting. Mass appeal shrinks it all down.

I finally started watching Twin Peaks last night. I put this show off for so long because I was afraid it wouldn’t be quite quite the haunted PNW vibe I was hoping for. It’s so much better than I was expecting so far. I’m obsessed

Here’s A, B, C, and D so far! I really enjoy this style of lettering, it can be very relaxing to focus on the swoops and swirls. I usually call it illuminated lettering but maybe there’s a better term that matches this style?

Just finished this illustration of a magical bird with a bouquet of red tulips. It’s so nice to have time to practice art skills and procreate again!

I enjoy Spotify wrapped but it’s never felt like it fully represented my music tastes of the year. So for the last 5 years I keep a yearly playlist of songs that speak to me in the moment. I try and make it an intuitive decision each time and once a song has been added I can’t take it off.

I told Benny I wanted books for Christmas and boy did he deliver!! 😭💕 I’m so excited about these!

Getting to enjoy some art time while watching that great classic Robin Hood feels like a cozy way to spend my first day off.
Especially when Benny is spoiling me with coffees and pancakes! 💕
