Wow, no ads from brands. Bad memes. I’m loving it here.

What do you do when you’re feeling uninspired? Deep in the revision process and find my prose so boring at the moment.

“I ate, too—the grief inside of me a giant maw of hunger. I devoured her whole until she shrank into a seed, then I swallowed that, too, and in my stomach her roots found purchase, ready to grow pink blossoms and sturdy limbs and little children to shake off like fleas.”

Wow
I’ve got three pieces in JAKE today! Many thanks to @publishedbyjake.bsky.social for giving them a home https://jakethemag.com/malus/

“The silence was as long as the miles between them.”

This one hits a place that has long ached.

My dad did delivery work when we first moved to the States. It’s still difficult to about what it was like for him, what it’s still like for many others.

The artwork is also gorgeous.

So thrilled to have a new flash fiction piece up on
@flashfrog.bsky.social! This piece took me ages to write because it was deeply personal and I'm so glad it's finally out in the world. Hope you enjoy :)

I really want to apply to Anaphora Arts but a bit stunned by the price for the online conference. $2400?? Is that the norm these days? I want to pay instructors for their work but I am definitely shell shocked by the price.

Had the most helpful and delightful interaction at the post office today. I usually have so much anxiety at the post office because its usually packed with people and the workers are always trying to rush you out.

Just started reading Lovecraft and I’m afraid that my expectations are way too high since I see cthulhu referenced in every media form.

For a lot of us, losing Twitter isn’t really about losing ties to the company itself. It’s losing 10+ years of real, asynchronous communities, professional development, the ability to get gigs and clients, the ability to promo/share your art on an extremely broad scale. The loss of that has impact.
