They already have over 4000 oil leases in the US, that they aren't drilling on, to keep up the demand, and keep down the supply. I can't imagine their getting involved in such an unstable region, with a president that has never met an agreement he didnt break.

My husband has worked in gas co's as an EPA consultant. He tells me that there are curently over 4K purchased oil leases, and that big oil has already diversified, into alternate energy, and that drilling a new rig is just not cost effective. What is going on with his worship of oil companies?

I've been researching moving to Colombia. Now, it seems like the US will soon be the leader of all the land, starting with Greenland, then Canada, then the whole of central and south America. It is tough to know which place might let anybody retire in peace.
