Fell onto Bluesky 02 SEP 2023. Didn't say much. I like puffins. Can't help it. Like myself they are funny looking and awkward on land.

DoD. Fighting the good fight by engaging with the MAGAssholes at work. It is not just my pleasure, its my duty.
Memories! My old boy got too old to go camping, so I made a camping quilt of batik and wool batting and put an embroidered square in it capturing his essence. I miss my boy so much - he passed at 15 in 2022, followed by my son, then my husband. 2022 was a year, that's for sure.

Very cool. I hope the birds here like the improvements I've made - planted tall Oregon grape and Highbush Cranberry. The lush berry selection should please their little palettes. On a circle-of-life note, a pair of Ravens has moved in - 3 years!. Barred Owl at Feeder. Not sure he understands.

Better days. 2021 my last trip before caregiving and death followed by even more caregiving and the crushing weight of conscience that comes from working for DoD. I haven't been more than 25 miles from my house since then. I mourn for the wanderlust that is such a part of who I am.

Mentally, I'm here where the Clear Fork and the Ohanapecosh rivers meet.

Truly peaceful - imagine a warm wind blowing through the tall grasses and small trees and the surprising smell of dampness during a hot and dry day.

I got distracted before I could post a photo! I got to see a water moccasin, Little Terns, and a nice information display on bees.

More memories! This time, Moo! The piebald deer who lived in my yard. He hasn't been back for a few years.

The Baby Bunnies after a couple of weeks

When your One Drive Memories really are worthwhile. From 2 years ago - the Baby Bunny Bonanza! A litter of buns born in my front yard and joyfully observed until they all left the yard... this is when they first came out of the nest - very wobbly buns!

That makes sense - I guess I was thrown by their use of approval in their advertising - but that is to highlight they are the ONLY FDA-approved injectable PSGAG for horses.

My local grocery store had a nice display of products from LGBTQ+ owned businesses and were giving away Pride Flags.

Roll on, Columbia, roll on
Roll on, Columbia, roll on
Your power is turning our darkness to dawn
So roll on, Columbia, roll on.

Another week! Not involuntarily separated. Five bullet points completed and submitted. I continue to work out of spite. I have identified the potential snitches in the office. But I do an excellent job for my active duty service peeps! Management? Well, be careful what you ask for, amIright?!!

I'm impatient for bug season. Still a bit cold and wet. So here is a shield-back katydid spotted back in 2016 on Hanford Reach in Washington State. The quarter was for scale. Not like I was bribing it or something.
