The only exception to expensive chocolate not worth it is because I'm lucky enough to live near the Fortunato store that sources amaaaaazing, fair trade stuff direct from Peru. But even that's just regular expensive & not silly marketing exorbitant.

And it's official! Lazy, racist-bro, asshole is off city council & we get to welcome a fantastic young lady who has been active in the city since HS as a youth commissioner & then chairing the arts committee. She kicked off her campaign at our pride event for solidarity 🎉🎉🎉

hmm... they also tend to be pretty location specific except for maybe the large conference everyone is willing to travel for every year or so. So it depends on how widespread a network you are interested in developing and where those opportunities would be located.

Probably highly dependent on industry and it's always a long game of relationship building. In law, I attended many that did lead to great opportunities, but always several links down the grapevine of "hey, you should meet so-and-so".

It's a great lesson! I talk to the student farm volunteers a lot about the only mistake you can make is to do nothing. Doing anything gives you valuable experience and you learn what you like, don't like, is worth doing, and to value the skills/labor of others providing services!

$10 box of 12 acorn squash cut and baked = 20 cups cubed and frozen for later + a large tray of seeds to season and roast for snacks and soup/salad toppings.
