Being #DL, or “down low,” is both a sexual identity and subculture that originated among queer, Black men and women.
It emerged as a necessity, but now exists as a choice.
Protecting yourself with #PrEP & #PEP doesn’t reveal your sexual orientation. It doesn’t contradict being in the DL community.
