Aww yes. Growing up in rural-ville my Dad stopped following a collision on several occasions and shot the deer instead of the cop so he wouldn’t have to discharge his gun (aka write a report). All the kids at home knew this meant jerky was coming. I thought everyone did this until college.

My Mom gave me a paper I wrote on Jane when I was in 7th Grade - now over 30 years ago - just this past Thursday on Thanksgiving. I remember being so proud of it as I had stained the pages with teabags to make it look like they were journal pages worn by the weather. I loved her work so much!
