I'd never use that. My car is slightly too old to drive without a key, new enough to start via my phone, but only start (and keep the engine warm), I'd still use a keyfob though. I don't put the car keys on my keyring, it's too bulky and it'd jangle on my leg while driving, that gets annoying.
