Be because y’know it’s Arcane and we’ve waited so long for the second season so everyone is just really hyped about it and eating it up, and when the hype dies down people will look at it through a more critical lens and realise it’s actually not that good

Just arggghh this season really frustrates me, because like there are moments here and there that are SO GOOD but it just cannot make up for the rest of the dogshit you have to sit through

I’m really curious and fascinated as to why everyone seems to love the new season

It also feels like the writers were like “oh shit, we’re close to finishing the show and the fans really wanted something, ah well let’s just chuck this in here”
The scene is so abrupt and out of place and it’s just absolutely tonally inappropriate

Also I just wanted to say, as a queer woman the Vi and Caitlyn sex scene made me really uncomfortable.

I feel a scene like that could’ve worked earlier in the season but the way it’s handled and placed just comes across as fanservicey and creepy. Like Vi was in a really-

Forced, I genuinely laughed when she died. Season 2 genuinely feels like fanfiction some young teen wrote and not the follow up season to absolute peak

I think you can immediately tell the dip in quality from the new opening, it’s so ass compared to season 1

Didn’t care for whatever the fuck cult shit Viktor had going on, was not a fan of Vander being revived and Vi and Jinx trying to save him (why not revive my boys too huh? What about the sons of Vander? Im joking but y’know), also I did no care for Isha and her inclusion felt so-

In the end I felt like it was sidelined for all the weird magic shit going on

Caitlyn and Ambessa’s storyline’s were the highlight and my favourite part about s2, I was so invested with the Piltover/Zaun war stuff and Caitlyn’s grief, I genuinely could not give a flying fuck about anything else

Goes CRAZY with all this weird arcane-magic bs all of a sudden and it takes me right out of the story

If s1 had been super fantasy/magic heavy to begin with I probably wouldn’t have this issue

I also wish they went heavier with the war stuff. I thought that’s what s2 was supposed to be about but-

One of my favourite things about s1 is that despite its fantasy setting, the story remains super grounded

It focuses on character relationships, class inequality, politics, grief, the magic is really only in Viktor’s storyline and it’s still mostly about his declining health

S2 on the other hand-

I could make an entire video on everything I dislike about season two

But my main criticisms are the direction and plot
