Here’s ewaste dashcam i took apart. Everything works but the battery is bad so i removed it. Glued in or inaccessible lithium batteries should be illegal imo. Turns out i can use this as a wide angle webcam if i wanted to. maybe ill replace the battery ir just leave it off idk. pictures below

one of my side projects is this btle keyboard running ZMK powered by a hybrid cap. Im using a 200F/90mAh 4.0v lithium ion cap. It’s been connected to my desktop for about a week and only discharged to 3.89V under light/casual usage. included is a picture of the keyboard with the top cover removed.

here’s all the boards we got done today: 7 amulet base boards, 4 face plates. Only 2 base boards have the uart chips, the rest were omitted because i was just using up part stock to have some boards on hand. the ones without the uart chip are programable via test pad.

here's a drawing. the side view is of it assembled. The idea is the flex pcb will wrap around the outside making a cylindrical shape. a dummy usb plug necklace chain so you can make it a necklace. it's small too! 13mm diameter, ~30mm tall making it a little smaller than a single AA battery.

here’s what i worked on during stream, it’s a wip and many things are subject to change! but i think it’s coming together. Leds will be where the date clusters are!

I’m also working on doing my artwork on non functional pcbs for keychains, ive done a couple so far for some cool people and am considering taking commissions for some in the future.

it has been over 10 years since i updated my comic mostly because i burnt out on web stuff among other things. I finally got the ball rolling recently to rebuild my site on another ssg. fingies crossed the comeback is real.

slowly poking around freecad to make some simple technical view drawings of the anwaar amulet. Learning curve for sure, I used step models i exported from kicad, had to hide some details because the models had too much info but it seemed to work for the most part. #chippydootles

I wouldt be able to make and share my unique art if it wasn't for open source libraries and open source hardware. I'm planning on including this Crowd supply only Open Source Hardware faceplate when my project launches! I used the MSA wiki page for open source hardware for the arabic. #chippydootles

this connector would be perfect if the alignment pin wasn't giant and on the top. (gonna just snip the alignment pin)
