Hey, hey, success! My 1-cup whole wheat bread recipe (starts w/ 1C water) yielded 6 small sandwich-sized pull-apart buns plus enough for a braided snacking loaf. Been trying to cut down on carbs lately -- these are my nemeses! Glad I saw your post, been looking for a new sandwich bread form. Danke!

My large-scale rock maples bonsai trio (going on 10 years old now) showed a population of black aphids on all the new growth this year, first time I've seen them. I always prune new growth to maintain and encourage canopy density and layering, so the aphids got clipped, too.

I've certainly enjoyed seeing and learning from your posts. Now that they've fully bloomed, I found my "asters," though a member of the Asteraceae family, are Erigeron, aka Fleabane Daisy, because of the form of the bracts (which I also learned about 😀).

Whenever I make a full loaf I mix up enough for a smaller braided loaf for immediate satisfaction after baking. Can be pulled apart while still steaming hot, wonderfully tender inside and chewy buttery crust, giving the full loaf plenty time to cool for cleaner slicing.
Two loaves of fresh-baked bread, a traditional pan loaf and a braided pull-apart loaf for eating fresh out of the oven while the larger loaf cools. Whole wheat and bread flour in a 50-50 mix, double rise, buttery crust.

Earlier I had made planetfall in another system to scan alien biosamples, my main occupation out here in the black. I had not encountered this type of Osseus before, thought its underside was quite beautiful.
An explorer of distant worlds stands beneath a tall life form resembling a terrestrial shingle fungus. Its species is called Osseus. This variety's underside is a colorful sponge-like matrix set in rich tan tissue. It grows atop a small knoll, preferring rocky outcrops to open plains.

On my way back from Sag A* (supermassive black hole @ the center of the Milky Way) I discovered a new Earthlike world with smallish, widely distributed, and very green land masses with intricate waterways between. I saw no deserts whatsoever. "All my bags are packed..."
