CHIP student, Mohammad Golam Kibria successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled, “Explainability for AI-driven Clinical Decision Support Systems: A User-centered Study with Clinicians." Dr. Kibria’s research focused on advancing explainability of AI tools in healthcare. Congratulations!

Jenny Hong reflects on her work with the UNC Health Sciences Library's Impact Measurement & Visualization (IMV) team where she developed and evaluated a machine learning-powered topic modeling tool to help streamline literature screening.

CHIP Student Internship Spotlight!

MPS Student Paul Greenwood is an intern for GENYSIS Core. "During my internship with the GENYSIS Core, I developed a machine learning pipeline that automates quality control (QC) monitoring for genomic sequencing data."

Today, CHIP PhD student, Ashlyn Zebrowski presented about her dissertation work on leveraging digital tools to help improve how we care for people. Her focuses on virtual reality and exploring behaviors and implementation system requirements to answer "how" to prescribe and deliver treatment.
