Why are US fire stations small and not consolidated?

I'm a random dude. What were the stability problems? I'm mostly just curious about how we got to this place

I think it was part of the Columbia gateway plans. I know the a member of the BaltPOP discord mentioned those plans at one point.

The one potential tram train I can think of on the northern part of the Camden Line would be from Columbia Town Center, down Broken Land Pkwy, then on the old rail ROW, then up the Camden Line to Camden Yards. The old plans for that involved light rail to Jessup but tram train can get you to bmore

So basically the Hawkins Point to Sparrows Point freight bypass harbor tunnel?
November 24, 2025 at 10:21 PM
I see. I'm guessing this requires either some sorta freight bypass or getting freight traffic to have timetables and stuff to better use capacity in those tunnels

@sprawlhater.bsky.social what would this SEPTA style RR system look like? Would it use the Howard Street Tunnel or the B&P Tunnel?

Broke: robotaxis to replace public transit
Woke: robotaxis as feeders for public transit
Bespoke: robo BRT, robo LRT, robo mainline trains, ALM

basically connect the Dahlgren branch to Pope's Creek, and then run along NEC for a Tish, then use power line ROW's to connect to Captiol subdivision, avoiding bottlenecks in Camden Line closer to DC?

What was your gigabrain freight bypass crayon? Does it involve the B&P or a new tunnel under the Chesapeake?

Err, rather, all men are, at the very least, cousins

It's a little fucked up to say this but uuuhhh, given our species's lack of genetic diversity, this phrase is sorta literally true

It's essentially one giant bonding experience. Like, if you get people from all sorts of cities across different countries root for either of the two teams at the world series on an annual basis, might encourage people across borders to talk with each other more

Less land to protect (if we have higher density) means we can splurge more on various climate adaptation measures. Denser housing also makes forms of construction such as mass timber or concrete panel construction easier to pencil out, which is more resilient than light wood frame

It's less money than we think it is, but still a good thing. Wealth is power, and this much concentrated wealth makes separation of powers a joke. If we guarantee some financial stability for our institutions, all the better

Yeah, the Founding Fathers are spinning fast enough in their graves to achieve escape velocity. Like, they'd be frothing at the mouth angry at the Gang of 6

I feel the big (cost) limitation with a lot of body modifications is gonna be the whole surgery aspect. It's def not gonna be cheap if you need a surgeon to replace people's eyes.
