My first session went great. Players started in various spots on the airship and met up in the banquet hall. Had some pretty good interactions between them and npcs. They really enjoyed the skill challenge with the crashing airship. More info on alt texts. #pathfinder2e #talespire #ttrpg
A kitchen inside of an airship. There is an angry dwarf chef glaring at Chitters, the awakened squirrel cleric. Chitters quest includes looking for tasty food and ingredients, so naturally, he started in the kitchen. He got the privilege of doing the first roll in the game when he tried to bluff while he was in the kitchen (I'm the food inspector). He rolled a 1. Immediately, he was thrown out of the kitchen. A dark cargo is held at the bottom of the airship. A butler opens a crate to grab a bundle of decorative flowers for the baquet hall. Markus the Leshe (pitcher plant) sorcerer is among the flowers in the crate. Having snuck aboard without paying, he chose to remain silent to not get caught. He was carried away to the banquet hall. The bow (front) of the airship open to the afternoon sky. Lucius, the (human) werewolf investigator, meets with the wheelchair bound elderly Turas. Turas is accompanied by his dog scruff, his bodyguard, and butler Reginald. Lucius inquires about why he was summoned to Pearlgrove and the nature of the problems occurring there. After getting some vague and cryptic answers, he left back to his room to gather his companion Rem. A typical cabin in the airship. A makeshift alchemy lab is set up upon the table. Rem, the ratfolk alchemist is working dillegently with his equipment to find a cure for lycanthropy for his companion, Lucius. Both of them worked together as partners investigating a series of murders before embarking to the city of Pearlgrove. Lucius knocks on the door after a bit and they both head upstairs to the banquet hall.

I don't know if this is a thing but at the start of each pathfinder session I do a quick "In memoriam" to all the npcs who died at my players hands (complete with sad music too). I place dead npc tokens in each players lobby areas in talespire. It's getting a bit corpsy. #talespire #pf2e #ttrpg
It's a boring spreadsheet listing my players, the session number, how they killed an NPC and a total count of deaths caused. Zoomed out picture showing the talespire lobby I made for my players. It has random buildings relating to their characters. Theres a Gothic cathedral, a tavern, a jungle area, a study, ect. The lobby is for pre game while I set boards up. Let's my players move their pre game tokens around and goof off. The study for Lucius the werewolf investigator, one of my players. It has book shelves, dark stone walls and flooring. There are corpses on the ground of rats, people and a dog. All dead by Lucius direct actions. I mean he ripped that dog right out of the old man's hands to "save it" as an airship was crashing. Well he failed the grapple check and dropped poor scruff to his untimely demise. Poor scruff.

Throwback pictures to earlier this year. We had a Baltimore Oriole come visit. We named him Satsuma (it's the name of a Japanese mandarin). He loved the oranges I put out. Hopefully he'll be back this winter.
Satsuma is a baltimore oriole. Hes a black bird with an orange tummy and has a white stripe on his wings. He has black eyes and a one inch pointy beak for eating fruit. He's perched on the feeder in profile looking towards the right. There are oranges on the feeder that he wants to eat. Satsuma is perched and looking straight ahead at the camera. Satsuma is perched looking forward but slightly the side. If you zoom in you can see he's covered in yellow pollen. Orioles love fruit and nectar and are important pollinators like bees. Satsuma is leaning down to eat from the oranges I left out. He's pretty close in color to an orange which I'm sure helps him blend in to fruit trees.

Finally took the plunge to DM. Using pathfinder 2e rules, home brew campaign in PF2E world and talespire for the board / tokens. Wanted to share my experiences good bad or otherwise and share some campaign highlights. Below are some session 1 screenshots. #ttrpg #pathfinder2e #talespire

Lucious the human / werewolf investigator, Rem the ratfolk alchemist, Chitters the awakened animal (squirrel) cleric, Theodore the catfolk swashbuckler, Markus the leshe (pitcher plant) sorcerer. Session 1. Party starts on the airship in various parts. They meet the captain and some other passengers before joining together at a table in the main gally. Gulber the Resplendent (gold dragon) Flys near the ship as a salute to the retiring captain. The party finally meets at the tavern but with a twist. It's in an airship.
