I've been using o1 Pro and Deep Research to refine the prompts for a bunch of Custom GPTs, but the answers from the GPTs don't seem significantly better, even tho the prompts have been vastly improved. Interesting analysis by o1 Pro as to why and the limits of prompting

Tech moguls around the world are going to come under a whole lot more scrutiny and hostility from governments around the world, thanks to Elon

Xi did 2 smart things that now seem prescient in hindsight - banning Western social media and cutting the PRC tech moguls like Jack Ma down to size. Won’t surprise me if more countries follow suit, in light of what Elon’s doing

Finally got around to trying Deep Research, and I'm "feeling the AGI" alright. Pretty impressive. Got DR to read a bunch of Singapore budget documents and economic reports, as well as Lawrence Wong's key speeches and told it to draft the upcoming 2025 Budget statement.Pretty, pretty good as they say

Merry Christmas folks.

May your prompts in 2025 be more efficient than the dozen-plus it took to make this in Sora, with help from o1 and Claude 3.5 Sonnet 😂 😂 😂

Elton gets it: "I maintain that (marijuana)'s addictive. It leads to other drugs. And when you’re stoned – and I’ve been stoned – you don’t think normally. Legalising marijuana in America and Canada is one of the greatest mistakes of all time.”

You can exert some control over the look/vibes of a Sora video to some extent, but still not easy if, like me, you have zero pro video/film experience.
This was stitched together using 4 Sora clips and the Storyboard function.

Not much luck getting on Sora so far. Can't wait for the American users to go to bed so the rest of us in Asia can try this out

WaPo has a pretty nice looking chatbot that answers your queries using their published stories. Try it here: www.washingtonpost.com/ask-the-post...

I'm still not convinced though that there will be high ROI from a product like this, given how most of us consume the news these days.
