Yomi (黄泉) is the underworld equivalent to the Dark Areas of other Digital Worlds where Enmamon resides, which lies beneath Shambala. It seems that even the living can cross over to Yomi from a place called Yomotsu Hirasaka (ヨモツヒラサカ), which carries on from Ashino Island.

Amaterasumon, Kaguyamon, and Ryugumon, referred to as the ​"Sanmyojin" (三明神), protect Ashino Island (アシノ島). Each has authority over a different domain: Amaterasumon rules the skies, Kaguyamon oversees the mountains, and Ryugumon governs the seas.

Shakamon carries out Kunlun's will, relaying its words to the others.

Erlangmon, Takutoumon, and Nezhamon, known collectively as the "Saneiketsu" (三英傑), are charged with protecting Genshi Continent (ゲンシ大陸).

The primary setting is Digital World: Shambala, also known as the eastern Digital World. Separate from the ones ruled over by Yggdrasill and Homeros, the Host Computer of this Digital World is Kunlun.
