The goofy stuff makes the serious stuff hit harder because it's done well, imo.

I have a special love for the Yakuza series. It reminds me of someone I have a lot of fondness and good memories for; it's a surprisingly progressive series that tackles toxic masculinity and queerness; it's able to balance being both goofy and serious at the same time.
