Surely the judge who issued the warrant should have heard argument about likelihood of criminality. Or was judge a maga appointment? Or doesn’t it matter in the US?

As a retired barrister, I think that we wrongly treat the cab rank rule as fundamental as the Hippocratic oath. Come on: if I saw something on my desk I didn’t like the look of, there were ways and means of dodging it.

This is appalling . Musk is, maybe clever, definitely rich, but the idea that he has anything to say about an appallingly difficult area of law/ policing needs to be stopped.
