Colbert's questioning was shoehorned, Mamdani was uber-prepared with his answers. Clearly a set-up. Colbert's job was to ask the bigotry-coded questions and Lander's was to show nobody needs to fear the Muslim through his support as a Jewish person.

Idk, this felt very intentional to me. I don't think there's any way Mamdani didn't come on this particular show to answer these exact questions for the specific demographic watching Colbert who's nervous because of the multi-million dollar propaganda campaign being waged against him. It's smart.

Well, then it sounds like they're implying more people are cosplaying as some sort of law enforcement. Obviously ICE should stop hiding their faces and show their badges to avoid any more confusion.

I'm not an expert and don't have an answer for that. But I suspect our housing shortage lies more in zoning issues and NIMBYs than in a lack of materials, even at today's cutting rates on private lands.

If we want to keep our forests, we need to move past the idea that we can just set them aside and hope for the best. They will have to be actively managed to avoid widespread wildfire as much as possible. Unfortunately, sometimes that requires cutting.

👋Someone who cares deeply about our parks here. We have a serious problem brewing with the annual wildfires we now experience: due to climate change they are burning so much hotter that the earth is scorched to the point of non-renewal for possibly hundreds of years.

This is absolutely not true. Both Douglas Fir and Southern Yellow Pine are used extensively in building houses.

I think Moggy was reacting to the sudden darkening of the skies at the end. Basically it was the storm Rand gathered in the waste showing up everywhere: beyond the Whitecloak camp, across the ocean that the Tanchico group came on deck to look at, and in the windows where Moggy was.

#WotShowSpoilers #WotBookSpoilers I've always thought TWoT should have way more deaths. Egwene's arc is arguably most impactful because of its end. This battle should cost nearly everything. Maybe I just like to torture myself, but I hope we see more gut-wrenching heroic losses in future seasons.

i ordered a couple gifts off of Etsy this morning. Both shops happened to be in BC Canada and I received notice that both had shipped within 45 min of my order. Never seen anything ship that fast before, I assume it's because of tomorrow's tariffs. I'm so sad for small indie artists and resellers

Pacing in the books is so wonky it's almost impossible to tell how long it's been, especially when the seasons stop changing. Doesn't one of the books only encompass about 2 weeks? Anyway, I'm inclined to give a big whatever to show timing since I never had a handle on it when reading the books.

#wotshowspoilers #wotbookspoilers I like how the show is handling Randfear. It's setting Rand up for devastation and to legitimately feel responsible for what happens to Moraine. Not that I look forward to seeing it play out, but it's so important for his arc. This increases the intensity.

I think it’s being done intentionally to emphasize how much time has passed. Otherwise it would be easy for a casual viewer to think it’s only been a couple months from the start of the show. There’s just so much they have to pack into each episode.

It has been years. Bel Tine happened in episode 1 of both seasons 1 and 2. So we’re at least well into the second year now.
