I just received a copy of the conference volume on renunciation in the Middle Ages. Massive props to Philipp Winterhager for doing such a brillant job as organiser and editor - it was a pleasure contributing to it!

I am very honored to have been awarded the faculty prize for gender aware research by Kiel University for my PhD on trauma and diaspora after the conquest of Constantinople in 1453. Thanks a lot to everybody who has been there both physically and mentally - you made this day very special to me.
